Taking into account previous experience, the situation with missile firing by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Crimea region could well have ended tragically.

Director of the information and analytical center Andrey Zolotarev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“I don’t know how reasonable it is to pull the tiger’s whiskers, especially considering the tendency of our politicians to embellish the real state of affairs. Formally, Ukraine had the right to conduct shootings, but Ukrainian history over the past 25 years has been rich in excesses, when tragic incidents occurred in peaceful normal situations. This is the missile in Brovary, and the downed plane, and the Sknilovsky tragedy. This caused great concern,” the expert emphasized.
“I initially imagined that they would make some noise, but at the right moment, as it happened, the situation would be resolved successfully. As we have seen, the shooting locations have been moved. A small anti-aircraft missile is still a specific weapon; it will not cause much destruction on the ground, but a real threat to aircraft, taking into account precedents, could happen,” added Zolotarev.
