This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Ruslan Bortnik, answering the question why no one was held responsible for the defeat of the Ukrainian group near Ilovaisk.
“Should we be talking only about Ilovaisk? Where is the issue of southern boilers on the border? Where is the question of Saur-Mogila? Where is the issue of Donetsk airport? “In the same place as Ilovaisk,” the political scientist emphasized. – People who are still in power today are to one degree or another to blame for these tragedies. And until they are replaced, we will never know the truth about these tragedies. A significant part of these tragedies, including the Ilovaisk one, were caused precisely by political factors. Some people needed to hold a parade on Independence Day, others needed to hold elections. For this, appropriate informational reasons and a background were needed, which was created at the expense of the lives of Ukrainians in eastern Ukraine.”
