Ukrainian politicians went to Munich for a security conference to resolve their “selfish interests.” Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this today at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian delegation came to the conference with selfish interests: to get good press, good photos, to demonstrate a high level of contacts. State interests were not defended. Neither the Ukrainian plan for a peaceful settlement, nor the raising of the question of new international security guarantees or access to markets. People came with private goals, hiding behind state interests,” Bortnik said.
According to his information, Ukrainian issues were discussed only in the context of the recent incident in the Kerch Strait.
“Azov” sanctions will be introduced, but they will be soft and personal, and will not change the balance between Russia and the Western world,” Bortnik said.
