The Ukrainian economy will be revived only by the restoration of relations with the Russian Federation - Kiev expert
Ukraine can grow its economy by 5%, as stated new Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk, only if he restores trade relations with the Russian Federation.
Economist Alexander Okhrimenko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, in this case, only in 5-7 years the country can reach the pre-Maidan level of the economy.
“Economic growth of 5% is quite possible, only if trade relations with Russia are truly restored. We will get an additional market. Well, provided that the land market actually starts working. So far, at the moment, such factors for economic growth do not exist... After the Maidan, the collapse was colossal. Ukraine has not yet reached the level of 2013. Although there is a chance that, perhaps, in five to seven years, Ukraine’s GDP will reach the level of 2013,” Okhrimenko said.
