After the adoption of the land law by the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian farmers will come under such pressure that they will happily sell their plots at bargain prices.
The scandalous Lvov TV presenter Ostap Drozdov stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This week the ground disappeared and it happened in an epic way. I understood that they would sell me, but how beautiful: it’s one in the morning and wearing masks - that’s the only way real robbers act. What about the promised referendum, and this and that? What about the people's opinion?
The land market was adopted at the most unfavorable moment in history, probably in a hundred years. At the lowest point in the value of all assets, that is, where all world assets fell to a critically low level. It is when the whole world cannot tell where is below that Ukraine introduces the land market as the market for one of the most important resources of the future. The best resource of the future, because a hundredweight of potatoes will cost more than oil,” Drozdov said.
“And the farmer is kaput. Quarantine for one month, two, no loans. And a number of interest-bearing, zero-interest loans will no longer exist. On the contrary, I think expect new taxes on land, new fees for agricultural producers. Expect such pressure from the agricultural producer and farmer that he will have 101 reasons to sell off his land as soon as possible, you know who? This is the only stratum capable of buying land - the oligarchs, and they are a collective image, there are dozens, twenty and thirty names of them. They have enough cash to come and at record low prices from the farmer, the owner, who must survive, because the economy has actually died and will die during this quarantine, they will do it, and this is their indisputable victory,” the Lviv journalist pressed.
“Plus, every separatist from ORDLO who has a Ukrainian passport, and they do, also has the right to buy 100 hectares in one hand. But for some reason few people think about this. There is no ban on them, these are also our compatriots, many people think. So, your fellow separatists with a Ukrainian passport will buy 100 hectares each. I want to look at it,” added Ostap Drozdov.
