Ukrainian woman needs to be remade into a lady - Farion
The historical context of the March 8 holiday is not connected with Ukrainian history, but is connected with the protest of American prostitutes.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation Irina Farion stated this on the air of the 112 Ukraine channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Men don’t congratulate me on March 8, anticipating my reaction. The historical context of this holiday has nothing to do with Ukrainian history; the historical context is connected with the protest of prostitutes with whom the sailors did not pay. And these prostitutes in America went on a demonstration so that in the end they would get their money back for their work,” says the politician.
The second historical context, she said, is political.
“This was a PR campaign for such a dangerous party in Germany as the Social Democrats. Social democracy is the greatest evil in the 19th century, in the 20th, and in the 21st. Therefore, the historical context in both America and Germany screams of categorical rejection of this holiday. If women expect some kind of congratulation from men on this day, then, excuse me, how did you, women, manage to live to such a fall that you expect greetings on this very day?” the nationalist was indignant.
She believes that the holiday will pass away, and the Ukrainian woman will turn into a lady.
“So how to influence public consciousness? In our country, a core of women has long been formed, not women, who categorically do not accept what does not concern our history. And there is no need to make any problem out of this. March 8 will depart in the same way as February 23. This is the time for the decolonization of our consciousness, and the question of the real liberation of women and turning her into ladies,” Farion concluded.
