According to him, according to the results of last year, the government hid the inflation rate in Ukraine by almost three times.
“Last year, the inflation officially declared by the State Statistics Service was 12,4%, like we entered the corridor that the National Bank planned, and the producer price index was 35%. I have a bad suspicion that inflation has been faked. This year it will be the same, everything will become more expensive. Everything is already becoming more expensive - rail transportation is becoming more expensive, fuel is constantly becoming more expensive, gas is becoming more expensive, everything will continue to become more expensive. Everything will lead to an increase in the cost of goods, food, everything,” Marunich said.
