Ukraine is facing an unprecedented systemic crisis
Ukraine is entering a period of powerful, systemic political and economic crisis, which the country has never seen before. The country faces a “hot autumn” ahead, which will be accompanied by regular Maidans and street riots.
Political scientist Viktor Nebozhenko stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All leading political forces feel that a crisis is coming. These are not general words - I can show it. This crisis will be systemic for the first time, because until now we have had some acute crises in Ukraine, the most diverse ones, which even led to Maidans and similar things. But they did not concern all forms of power at the same time, economics and politics at the same time.
And in politics, at the same time, a crisis is gripping the Verkhovna Rada - the parliamentary majority there is practically non-functional, it is flickering, that is, on all serious bills there it is necessary to mobilize neighbors and even competitors - Poroshenko, Medvedchuk and so on.
The situation is exactly the same in the Cabinet of Ministers, there is dual power there. On the one hand there is the Prime Minister, and on the other hand there is the all-powerful Avakov, who himself decides whether to leave or stay. It’s the same with local authorities, where feudal and mafia structures are greatly strengthened, and the role of governors is declining.
We can say the same about the office of the president. All this talk about how [the head of the presidential office] Ermak is a huge, strong, powerful cybernetic torso of the smart, handsome President Zelensky - all this suggests that the system of decision-making and their implementation in the office is slow. And all this at the same time. This is unusual for Ukraine, so the summer looks hot.
All political forces are preparing for elections or a political crisis, they are concerned about increasing their electorate and everyone is afraid for their ratings... Of course, the simplest indicator is that there will be unexpected unrest, demonstrations in the streets, we will see numerous marches, clashes, conflicts, some kind of unrest.” ,” Nebozhenko said.
