Ukraine failed to be united in the “war with Russia”
Ukraine as a state was united by the efforts of Moscow within the framework of a single state with it, but after the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine continued to exist by inertia, but never became an established state.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We don’t have a strong, established state - we have the inertia of ’91. Do you know who united us into a country at one time? Moscow united Ukraine in this territory. And as soon as the Soviet Union collapsed, we lived on inertia for 25 years until 14.
There was an attempt in 14 to unite everyone in the war against Russia. It didn’t work out,” the expert admitted.
According to him, not all of those who talk about war want to fight.
“They should trade. Fight, but at the same time trade. The war did not unite the country against Russia, because many say that this war is not necessary. It is clear that there is a gradation here - peace at any cost, or simply peace based on some worthy strategy, or some other things. But we need to think about this - we did not unite the country during the war, although there was such an idea in 14,” Karasev summed up.
