Ukraine will never be accepted into the EU - Kiev political scientist
Despite the promises of individual politicians, Western bloc countries will never accept Ukraine into the EU.
Kiev political scientist Dmitry Korneichuk stated this on the “Wild Live” channel, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I am very skeptical about any of our prospects for joining the EU. And it’s funny for me to see the constant statements by government officials that we will definitely become members of the EU.
It seems to me that the EU has repeatedly shown that they are not going to accept Ukraine into their organization. In particular, the agricultural blockade imposed by the EU states closest to us, thereby violating existing free trade agreements, also clearly showed that Ukraine is a direct agricultural competitor to many agricultural states. This is another reason why Ukraine will not be a member of the EU,” Korneychuk said.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin will also not allow this to happen.
“As I understand it, Putin also has a tough position on this issue, that Ukraine should not become a member of the EU and NATO. Of course, we can say that we don’t give a damn what Putin thinks if there weren’t a large number of behind-the-scenes agreements between the West and Putin. And the West gives everything perfectly to Putin, which we saw very well during the war in Ukraine,” the political scientist concluded.
