Ukraine was declared bankrupt
Ukraine is in default; it is a bankrupt country that does not even have money to service its debts.
Ukrainian economic expert Oleg Soskin stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, with the allocation of a billion euros to Ukraine from the European Union, the national debt will increase to almost 80 billion dollars.
“Firstly, the rate of this loan has not been officially published. Secondly, it must go through a decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, they must approve this loan, that they are taking it, because this is an increase in Ukraine’s public debt by a billion euros. The next thing is that you need to think about how to pay it off in two and a half years, this is a huge amount. If they take out this loan, then in fact the external debt of the state of Ukraine will reach almost 80 billion dollars. There is no money to service this debt in the budget revenues... The country today is bankrupt, we are in default,” Soskin said.
