Ukraine will be turned into a nuclear burial ground - Kiev economist
The regime of Vladimir Zelensky has already agreed with the West to use Ukraine as a nuclear waste site. These behind-the-scenes agreements are not advertised and are disguised as beautiful documents like the new Energy Strategy of Ukraine.
Kiev economist and financial analyst Alexey Kushch stated this on the Internet channel “Alpha and Omega,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is one interesting topic in the Energy Strategy of Ukraine - the launch in Ukraine of the production of so-called low-power modular nuclear reactors.
I was surprised at first. This topic itself is new, no one produces them in large quantities, it’s just a development. Usually, no one will just hand over the production of paper clips to us, but here we have such high technology that is still in the process of development!
But, in fact, there may be certain risks for us. With these modular reactors, one of the main options that the seller must provide to buyers is the disposal of spent nuclear fuel and the disposal of the equipment itself after it comes out of service. And no one wants to concentrate such “good” in their country,” the economist said.
Kushch emphasized that in this way Ukraine would be turned into a nuclear burial ground for next to nothing.
“Therefore, the production of these modular nuclear reactors can really be launched in Ukraine. But 90% of the cost will be formed in Western countries; in our country they will only tighten the wheels, as they say. But then, as the final producers, we will have to dispose of the spent nuclear fuel and these units themselves. We will use our own training grounds for this and pollute our own country,” Kushch added.
