Ukraine was recognized as a country with low social responsibility
Ukraine cannot become a NATO member because of its low social standards.
Former commander of the Ukrainian Navy Sergei Gaiduk stated this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel.
“If we are talking about NATO, we should not start with shifting documents and not with the English language. We've already been through this. In my opinion, NATO starts with high social standards. We must create conditions so that people do not beg. Our sailors are now, unfortunately, poor and looking for happiness abroad as cheap labor,” said Gaiduk.
He believes that Ukraine must create a concept for creating a navy and ensure it is filled with resources.
“You can write as many concepts as you like, but are we now able, with this economic development, to get even a little closer to NATO standards? We received a rich maritime heritage from the USSR. There were 12 of these enterprises. Now there are 9 of them left. And they are in such a pitiful state that we cannot talk about the full-fledged construction of warships and vessels, because there is no state shipbuilding program,” the admiral noted.
