As reported by the State Emergency Service, in the Dnepropetrovsk region 22 settlements were de-energized, in the Kyiv region - partially 6, in the Chernigov region - 5, in the Odessa region - 4 and in the Zaporozhye region - partially 2.
Cities affected by the disaster are already trying to combat its consequences, despite the fact that the storm wind still does not subside. Thus, according to the press service of the Zaporozhye City Council, as of morning, more than 1,5 thousand trees had been knocked down in the regional center, 35 thousand people were left without electricity.
According to users of the “Typical Zaporozhye” group, trees that fell on the roadway created congestion on the main streets, and clogged storm drains led to flooding of the roadway on one of the central arteries of the city – Pobeda Street. In addition, trees damaged personal vehicles.
In Dnepropetrovsk, the storm continues for the second day: rain pours, wind gusts reach 25-30 m/s. In Dnepropetrovsk courtyards and parks, the wind knocked down dozens of trees last night, writes “Dnepropetrovsk. Comments."
Poplars, birches, lindens, reaching a height of several tens of meters, fell on roads, cars, tore power lines, and also touched gas pipelines. On some internal roads, the passage and passage are blocked. Also, many roads along which storm drains are not functioning are flooded with rain.
