Russia is promoting in the West the removal of the “Ukrainian issue.” Energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on air on the Capital channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The process has begun, we are moving to the point where Russia is actively promoting the idea that Ukraine should be removed from the agenda. This is already a geo-economic issue, because the conflict with Ukraine and the problem of transit through Ukrainian territory have become an obstacle to the further development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the EU with the active participation of the United States. That is, after completing the implementation of this sanctions project, the issue of Ukraine will become secondary,” the expert said.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy admitted that the state of the Ukrainian gas transportation system is at such a level that the Ukrainian gas no one needs the pipe anymore.
