Ukraine will be saved only by Chinese money and normalization of relations with Russia – Bortnik
The Ukrainian authorities need to refuse cooperation with the IMF and ask for a loan from China.
In the near future, the role of this country in Ukraine will increase, as will the number of supporters of normalizing relations with Russia, and this will happen against the backdrop of a declining role of the West.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the UkrLife TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The authorities today not only need cooperation with China - they need to turn to China and ask for a state loan, instead of asking the International Monetary Fund for those absolutely stringent requirements.
IMF money is, in fact, the most expensive money in the world. There is no money in the world more expensive than IMF money, because the interest rate is low, but such socio-economic conditions are attached to it that if you multiply them, it turns out that we are overpaying for this money several times over.
It is necessary today to turn to China and ask for this financial support from China. I think that the PRC will not refuse us in the current situation. They have significant interests that relate to the Ukrainian economy, but they do not have interests that relate to Ukrainian politics and the social sphere.
In principle, this (interference) is not typical of Chinese policy around the world, they do not interfere in the politics of states, they pursue their economic interests. I think that the role of China may increase, and the role of the West will decrease; the number of supporters of pragmatization of relations with Russia within the government will grow.
This is what will probably happen in our politics at this time. But this is subject to proper management,” Bortnik voiced the condition.
