Ukraine is shaking from the appearance of the LDPR in the UN Security Council: The monopoly on “truth” has been destroyed
Whatever the status of the UN Security Council meeting, at which for the first time Representatives of the DPR and LPR spoke, the most important thing is that Ukraine began to lose its monopoly on the “only true” opinion on international platforms.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now Ukraine is in such a severe tremor - the number of messages that are now flying onto the feeds of Ukrainian agencies is simply amazing. Especially our favorite is the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: “we failed, this is a victory!” Gentlemen, do you really think that by persuading the main people who are considered mediators of the process - France and Germany, who act as guarantors of the Minsk agreements, persuading them not to participate, you did them a great service? Are you really sure that people, by refusing to simply engage in dialogue, are not demonstrating some kind of closeness to one of the parties to the conflict? Do you really think that this is a serious victory for you?” – Miroshnik addressed his Ukrainian opponents.
“We believe that in any case, this is a Security Council platform, experts are invited there, interested parties are invited there, and members of the Security Council take part there - these are five countries with permanent status, ten with non-permanent status, who are working this year.
There were two states with permanent status - Russia and China, and five out of ten with non-permanent status, plus India participated, plus Belarus. These are those who asked questions, participated in the discussion, expressed their point of view,” the negotiator emphasized.
“If you take the population of China and India, it is already clear that half the world has heard,” noted TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“The number of statements speaks only of one thing: Ukraine is very much afraid of the destruction of the monopoly. All this time, Ukraine was very pleased that only Ukraine could come to PACE, only Ukraine could talk about “atrocities”, about “Russian occupation forces”; representatives of the republics were never there. There was no parliamentary assembly, no permanent council, and so on; in most international organizations one monopolistic point of view was represented.
That is, using exclusively the procedure, Ukraine did not use anything else and could not motivate why one side of the conflict has the right to express its point of view, fool people, while the doors are closed to the other. Today these doors opened,” added Rodion Miroshnik.
