Ukraine is overwhelmed by far-right Nazi terror – Kiev human rights activist
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his team began using the Nazis to intimidate and suppress dissent.
Kiev human rights activist Vladimir Chemeris stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is happening now is systemic far-right Nazi terror. We are monitoring far-right violence; it did not start today or yesterday. It started in 2014 – systematically.
And just after the 2019 presidential elections, this violence dropped to almost zero. Because these people were disorganized. They thought that the new government, which came on the hopes of Ukrainians for the restoration of peace and civil rights, would still apply the measures provided for by the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine to stop this violence. Then they saw that nothing, no measures were being taken,” Chemeris noted.
He emphasized that the greatest restriction of freedoms in Ukraine today is not associated with quarantine measures introduced due to the pandemic, but with the lawlessness of nationalists who attack with impunity all those who disagree with their position.
“Then, the new government, like the government of Petro Poroshenko, began to use these groups to attack social protest rallies, anti-war and anti-fascist rallies.
Now the main problem of freedom of assembly is not any restrictions, but the fact that if it is a meeting of dissidents, then the ultra-right will immediately attack them,” the human rights activist concluded.
