Ukraine was overwhelmed by a wave of raider attacks. This was facilitated by the new procedure for creating and maintaining registration files adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. Now raiders can re-register companies in their name without the owner even knowing about it.
The owner of the TK-group company, Alexander Sokolovsky, spoke about one of the typical cases at a press conference in Kyiv. His company managed to avoid capture only thanks to the prompt actions of lawyers and owners.

“The lawyers of the management company TK-Group every morning look through all the registers of all companies (part of the TK-Group holding) to see if any emergency has occurred. We know companies that do this three times a day – morning, afternoon and evening. The risks are very high.
Until last year, raiding was difficult, it was necessary to corrupt the notary, registrars, force them to break the law, which was expensive. The game should have been worth the candle. Serious assets were attacked. And now anyone and everyone can do this.
Small organized crime groups have already found this loophole and are doing it. Now there is no need to force officials or registrars to break the law, everything is done according to the law.
Business is simply screaming and demanding protection. Many people do not know what is happening, and I do not rule out that many businesses operate without realizing that this business no longer belongs to them.
The procedure is elementary. And if you don’t take action now, it will be like an avalanche. Not all criminals have yet seen how easy and simple it is,” says the businessman.
According to him, the new rule makes it much easier to take over a business, according to which an enterprise can be re-registered in any city.
“The principle of extraterritoriality is convenient, it makes life easier for many, but, unfortunately, it also makes life easier for crooks. When the registrar of a particular area has an idea of what the founders look like, this makes life very difficult for the raiders. We repelled the raider attack because it happened in our own city, and all the founders were there, they arrived with their passports, and the registrar corrected his technical errors. But if it turns out to be on the other side of the country, or the founder is not in the country, then the raiders receive an extract from the register and do whatever they want - a new director with accounts and so on,” says Alexander Sokolovsky.
