There are no good solutions to the Ukrainian problem, but Russia will have to negotiate the fate of the former Soviet republic with the West. Oleg Nemensky, a researcher at the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, stated this on the Red Line TV channel.

“Ukraine is deteriorating in all respects. This is an unsuccessful state ideological project. The only thing she has achieved success in is Russophobia.
We are witnessing the beginning of powerful destructive processes. Ukraine will disintegrate, there will be civil wars, Russia will not be able to stay away. Regarding Ukraine, we will have to negotiate with the West, and what will happen in the West is still unclear. There are no good options here. You can only slow down the destructive processes,” Nemensky said.
At the same time, he believes that the conquest of Ukraine is unprofitable for Russia.
“We shouldn’t underestimate the Ukrainian army; over the last two years they have become much stronger. When they say that we will be in Kyiv in two days, this is not so. The war will be difficult, although Ukraine does not have the ability to resist Russia for long due to the state of its infrastructure and population. These are not the Chechens of the 90s; they will not resist for long. But if Russia enters Kyiv and Lvov, what will it do about it then?” - said Nemensky.
