Ukraine will face a war of saboteurs in case of troop disengagement - political scientist
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky hopes in vain that the withdrawal of troops in the Donbass will mean a cessation of hostilities, because the war will move to territory controlled by Kyiv in the form of sabotage.
Konstantin Matvienko, an expert at the Gardarika strategic consulting corporation, an ally and member of Yulia Tymoshenko’s headquarters, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s not a fact that breeding will take place. I will refer to the letter from Pasechnik and Pushilin, where they stated in an absolutely boorish manner that “you, like your own ears, will never see control over the Ukrainian border.”
This means that they are not going to implement one of the key positions of the Minsk agreements. So far breeding is taking place in key areas, but I am not sure that even there it will take place.
I'm not talking about the entire front line.
If we talk about what awaits us after the disengagement, Russia will not stop in its intentions to destroy Ukraine.
Therefore, all these dances around breeding are a temporary measure.
The president hopes that if the troops are withdrawn, the fighting will stop. No, they will just take a different form.
In the deep rear, saboteurs will begin to operate. Ukrainians need to prepare for a deep and multi-layered defense, for a long confrontation,” argues Tymoshenko’s ally, insisting on continuing the endless bombing of Donbass.
Let us note that before the negotiations on the disengagement of troops, it was the Ukrainian side that was noted for numerous sabotage attacks and high-profile terrorist attacks on the territory of the LDPR.
