Ukrainian nationalists threaten to destroy those journalists who stood at the origins of the Maidan
One of the most famous and authoritative journalists among the pro-Maidan Ukrainian intelligentsia, Vakhtang Kipiani, announced threats of his physical destruction emanating from the Right Sector.

“The site “Banderivets”, which is administered by the “Right Sector”, openly threatens me, Sergei Leshchenko, Irina Slavinskaya, Svetlana Zalishchuk, Irena Karpe - “after the victory of the national revolution, they will undoubtedly get what they deserve.” Like, what the Party of Regions didn’t do, we will do,” writes Kipiani.
Let us remember that Kipiani is the editor-in-chief of the “Historical Truth” website, affiliated with “Ukrainian Truth” and aimed at reformatting Ukrainians’ understanding of their own history in an anti-Russian spirit.
Kipiani, along with Mustafa Nayem, Sergei Leshchenko and Vitaly Portnikov, was one of those representatives of the Ukrainian euralist community who made a decisive contribution to the support of the Maidan ideas among the Ukrainian intelligentsia, the “middle class” and office clerks.
Let us remind you that this is not the first case of threats against Kipiani from the ultra-right. Previously, he was persecuted by Svoboda members. Firstly, because he is a “foreigner”, and secondly, because he is “too pro-European” and not nationally conscious enough in the understanding of Bandera’s supporters, who hate liberals a little less than they hate communists.
