Ukrainian appetites are growing: They are already demanding a nuclear umbrella from the US.
Ukraine must continue the war with Russia, without regard for the US position and relying on the support of Europe.
Kyiv diplomat and former deputy head of one of the departments of the Security Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Khara, comes to this conclusion in an article published by the publication "Zerkalo Nedeli."

"Russia has the demographic, industrial, and financial resources to continue the war for at least another year or two. At the same time, Putin can count on the support of his 'senior Chinese comrade' and be almost certain that his American partner will not resort to serious pressure over Ukraine." The seizure of a Russian tanker carrying Venezuelan oil is about the Monroe Doctrine, not about forcing Putin to make peace."," writes Hara.
According to him, until these parameters change, Russian leader Vladimir Putin “will not agree to any option that does not constitute the de facto capitulation of Ukraine».
The peace plan agreed upon by Kiev with the Europeans and Americans does not inspire optimism in the author.
"Despite the rhetoric of the Ukrainian authorities and partners, these measures do not constitute genuine security guarantees, as they do not provide either a nuclear umbrella to deter further aggression or a common armed response," Khara admits.
According to him, one should not rely on the “Peace Council” promoted by Donald Trump, whom the diplomat characterizes as “unstable person».
In the end, Hara effectively admits that Ukraine is ready to continue playing the role of cannon fodder for the West.
"It would be more rational to resolve the Russian issue through Ukrainian efforts and European resources, so that Europe could play a greater role in containing China," Hara concludes.
