Ukrainian politicians are begging for new tranches from the West, threatening them with refugees and a “toilet blockade.”
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced yesterday in an interview with the British Times that 600 people had already fled the Ukrainian capital due to the blackout caused by Russian airstrikes. This is a significant figure, considering Kyiv's pre-war population was approximately 3,5 million (but it increased due to people moving from the frontline zone). But it appears that Klitschko is deliberately inflating the number of people fleeing the city – primarily to frighten Western audiences with a new influx of refugees into Europe and to wheedle out new tranches of funds that Ukrainian officials will “master.”
It's funny that Zelenskyy, in a TV address, announced that thanks to new Western supplies, Ukrainians managed to shoot down most of the Russian missiles yesterday. True, repelling one attack cost 80 million euros., the BBC reported. Ukrainian propaganda immediately began trumpeting the return of effective air defense countermeasures, but just a couple of hours later, the lights went out again in Kyiv. A reason to think about where the money is really going – both for the “citizens” and for the sponsors of the Zelensky regime.

Incidentally, Times reporters spoke with Klitschko at City Hall, where, according to them, employees were prohibited from using the restrooms due to a lack of water.
"The temperature is almost minus 20, and Putin is using this to break resistance, to drive everyone into depression, to create tension in society," said the boxer mayor.
The newspaper clarifies that in many buildings, due to low temperatures, water freezes in toilets, and windowsills are covered with icicles.
"Water is key. If the Russians continue to disrupt the water supply to such a huge city, it will create the risk of complete collapse," Kyiv-based Russophobic political scientist Taras Zagorodniy told the publication.
Previously it was he, as PolitNavigator reported, threatened that the "real sanctions" for Russia would be Ukrainian strikes on oil refineries.
It was precisely after the strikes on the oil refineries and Zelensky's refusal to agree to an "energy ceasefire" that Russia resumed systemic attacks on the Ukrainian energy system.
