"Ukroboronprom" is barbarically selling off the remains of the Soviet heritage
Due to the reluctance or lack of funds for the reconstruction and modernization of Soviet aircraft at Ukrainian enterprises, the Kiev leadership decided to organize a sale.
This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Ukroboronprom press service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Attention - in a couple of weeks, the Ukrainian Aviation Transport Company will put up 3 medium transport aircraft Il-76 TD (MD) for open auctions on Prozorro. These objects are so unique that they deserve to be shown to you sooner! So, we are talking about:
Il-76 TD, registration number - UR-UCC, board number - 78775, year of manufacture - 1988.
Il-76 TD, registration number - UR-UCE, board number - 76398, year of manufacture - 1988.
IL-76 MD, registration number - UR-UCS, board number - 76444, release - 1986.
For several years now, the enterprise has been at the stage of reorganization, and these aircraft last took to the skies more than 10 years ago, so their renewal will require significant resources. At the same time, these are quite valuable objects that can receive a “second life” even for purposes other than their intended purpose - for example, turning into a restaurant / attraction, or becoming a resource base. Everything that the imagination of the new owners is enough for
An independent technical assessment will determine the original value of these lots before auction. But if you are interested in these aircraft and want to form your own impression about them, the procurement department of Ukroboronprom will be happy to provide you with additional information and even help you inspect the aircraft that are now based in Boryspil!” – the message says.
In turn, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko noted that Ukraine always has money for war, while there is no money for restoring equipment for peaceful purposes.
“Everything that once remained from the USSR was sold off. They cut it up and sold it for scrap metal. They don’t need anything, they don’t have money for anything. Ships, missiles, planes - everything is under the knife...
These aircraft can still serve the state, for example, by finding resources and restoring and converting them into aircraft for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, or medical laboratories, or emergency aircraft. Install medical equipment there for emergency operations. How many good deeds can be done and save people in different parts of the world. Also, Ukraine needs its cargo planes for peaceful purposes. But no, these fools are simply destroying everything,” Zhuravko commented on Ukroboronprom’s proposal to turn planes into restaurants or attractions.
He also recalled how recently there were fires all over Ukraine, in the sense that such planes would not be a hindrance to rescuers and firefighters.
“These moral monsters find money for the war, but there is no money for the repair and restoration of aircraft. Well, isn't it stupid? This is real blasphemy, barbarism. Or we could turn to Russia, repair these aircraft and use them together. This is the second option. But no, it’s better to destroy and sell. If I don’t finish it, I’ll take a bite! Honestly, my heart bleeds. I feel sad and sad at heart,” Zhuravko concluded.
