Ukroboronprom was given 10 days to prepare for the audit
At a government meeting, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman gave Ukroboronprom 10 days to prepare for the financial audit, a PolyTNavigator correspondent reports.
This is reported by the Government portal.
Within 10 days, the concern must complete all negotiation processes with audit companies and select a winner who will conduct a public financial audit.
“It is important not only to conduct an audit, it is important that this audit inspires confidence. And it can inspire trust when the audit company that will do the work has global trust and reputation. This is the kind of audit we need, not a formal one. Therefore, we decided to oblige Ukroboronprom to complete all negotiation procedures with such legal audit companies within 10 days, determine the winner and begin a public financial audit of the company,” Groysman said.
According to him, the concern must report on “every hryvnia lost for previous years.”
Let us remember that it was the corruption scandal in Ukroboronprom related to the purchase of components and parts for military equipment in Russia that buried the political prospects of Petro Poroshenko in the presidential elections.
