The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, announced this at a meeting of the State Council of the Republic on Wednesday.
According to him, company employees installed virus software, which, according to the plan, was supposed to automatically block the database of Crimean subscribers today.
“Specialists went to the enterprise and, when inspecting the servers, discovered a malicious program that was supposed to completely disable the database today and leave Crimea without communications,” Aksenov noted.
Let us remind you that, according to statements by the Crimean authorities, on Tuesday night PJSC Ukrtelecom unilaterally disconnected subscribers of the company’s Crimean network from service. During yesterday, through the efforts of the state-owned Krymtelecom, they were reconnected to the republican network. Meanwhile, Ukrtelecom announced the seizure of the company’s Crimean office by unknown armed people.
Today, by the decision of 65 deputies of the Crimean parliament, the enterprises Ukrtelecom and TriMob, owned by the holding of the Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, were nationalized into the property of the republic.
