“The railway began transporting 75 thousand tons of coal delivered by the ship “Zhao Yaung Feng” from South Africa to the sea trade port “Yuzhny” (Odessa region) for Ukrainian thermal power plants. Every day, 100 gondola cars (6700 tons) of thermal coal are transported to the warehouses of the Pridneprovskaya and Krivoy Rog thermal power plants,” the statement says.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy said that by the end of the year it is planned to receive at least six more ships with thermal coal. Now, according to the department, the third ship with strategic raw materials for Ukrainian power plants is already approaching the Ukrainian shores.
