“Ukrzaliznitsa” is groaning from losses due to the blockade of the railway in Donbass by “ATO” militants
The total losses from the blocking of the railway in the Luhansk region by ATO militants, which has been ongoing since February 2, have already exceeded UAH 33 million.

“The amount of damage caused by the actions of blockers of a diesel locomotive and 57 empty freight cars on the Shipilov-Svetlanov section, which has been ongoing since January 25, amounted to UAH 7 million as of February 8,4,” the department reported.
Thus, according to the press service, on the Kurdyumovka-Artemovsk section, blockers led by several people’s deputies disrupted the movement of freight trains on even and odd tracks, traffic to the Mayorskaya-Nikitovka junction, and limited the movement of commuter trains only on the odd track of this section. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 279 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, it is reported that on the Shipilov-Svetlanov section, due to the blocked movement of a diesel locomotive and 57 empty freight cars, coal, including thermal coal, has not been transported for 16 days. Thus, during this time, due to the actions of the participants in the blockade, 174,5 thousand tons of coal were not transported.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” calls on the competent authorities to facilitate the unblocking of train traffic on two stages in Donbass and compensation of losses to those responsible.
