Young man, are you still interested in what happened in our City Garden this afternoon? - And I will say it! - They used to say: the lords fight - the slaves’ forelocks crack. Today is such an interesting time when a fight between slaves turns into a headache for the gentlemen generals! And in the most literal sense...

We have already told you that because of the decision voted by the City Council approving the development of the site of the Summer Theater, which, it turns out, has been in private hands since 2003, there was a big uproar. The “activists” attempted to storm the territory of the theater, and when they encountered serious resistance from private security and police, they postponed their actions to the present day.

The city authorities and today's owners of the theater were also not asleep - just yesterday the Soling company gave a press conference with the participation of its representative Igor Kovalenko and city council deputy Alexander Sheremet. Mr. Kovalenko assured the press and the public that his company does not intend to either cut down the trees in the garden or build some kind of building on the site of the theater. This was confirmed by the deputy, even the adviser to the chief of the regional police, Ruslan Forostyak.

True, as simple as a moo, the question of what the City Council approved then hung in the air. Just like the effigy of Mayor Trukhanov hung in the long-suffering City Garden, hanged by overly angry “social activists”.

It would seem that everything is fine, a beautiful marquise, potential developers have backed down. But, apparently, the gentlemen from Svoboda and other similar pogrom gangs were not worried about the fate of the heart of Odessa. But... an opportunity to “troll” both the mayor and the owners of the Summer Theater. Apparently, as they say in Odessa, “Did you order a scandal? - Paid!

And therefore, on this gloomy day, a formal battle unfolded near the theater gates. Several hundred militants actively provoked the police. They demanded that the theater gates be opened. And when the same representative of the owners, Igor Kovalenko, allowed several “protestants” to enter through the gate and inspect the site, they were not happy with it. The head of the regional police, General Dmitry Golovin, was hit on the head with an iron rod. A scuffle broke out, during which the gates were knocked down and the police fired stun grenades and tear gas.

So I ask you, what does this all mean? – No, I won’t say that the idea of developing the City Garden was invented. After all, the decision was made by the City Council! But, most likely, its initiators encountered strong resistance from competitors, who also have a good appetite. And they hired “activists” so that, by raising noise and fighting, they could harm their enemies. And to the hated mayor...

It was clear to everyone that the lice test had failed. But, instead of launching a legal process to verify the basis on which the territory of the Summer Theater ended up in private hands, lawless street “justice in quotes” was used. And the result could be another redistribution of city land.

Meanwhile, analyzing all the latest acts and decisions of the authorities, it becomes clear: construction in the City Garden directly contradicts them. But with us everything is possible. And decisions embodied in concrete that contradict the letter and spirit of the law. And - street lawlessness, when protecting the interests of citizens turns into just... changing the names of those who will trample on them. And the generals’ heads are cracking, but ordinary Odessa residents prefer to look at all this chaos from the outside. For any, even the most just, idea that the Maidan militants are trying to “defend” turns into its opposite. And you won’t do or get anything good with them!

PS

According to the latest data, at least ten police officers were injured in the clashes. And the “fighters for justice” dragged the torn gates under the city hall and... painted their “wolf hook” symbol, a slightly stylized Nazi swastika, on a column of the Odessa Duma. Do I need to comment on this?!
