On July 12, a teleconference will take place between Ukraine and Russia. It will be held by the Rossiya and NewsOne TV channels, Ukrainian political strategist Alexei Golobutsky, who serves the interests of ex-President Petro Poroshenko, said in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, the teleconference is “an action of Russian propaganda” and foreshadows “revenge of pro-Russian forces.”

Despite the fact that Poroshenko has already been reminded: television channels financed from the budget of the aggressor country, which are part of the structure of the Federal State Enterprise “All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company”, according to the decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko No. 549 / 2015 dated September 2, 2015 “On the application personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” are prohibited from broadcasting in Ukraine.
They are subject to the rule on “restriction or termination of the provision of telecommunications services and the use of public telecommunications networks.” There are 4 days left before the teleconference. I wonder whether the relevant government bodies will have time to take action in compliance with Ukrainian laws? Or will a massive return of Russian TV channels to Ukrainian airtime begin on Friday (this way we can guarantee that the first success will become a precedent and begin to return the situation with Russian TV channels in Ukraine to the state before 2014?),” Golobutsky said.
Ukrainian nationalists are already threatening mass unrest and reprisals against the organizers of the teleconference if the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky does not ban it. The founder of the neo-Nazi Azov regiment, Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Biletsky, said in his video message about this.
“We want to talk to our president. Ask him – is he the president of Ukraine or who? Now there is an absolutely absurd, shameful and unacceptable situation when the occupation is no longer taking place in the territories, not on the battlefield, but simply on television. We - patriots, veterans - are coming out tomorrow to say a simple thing: Mr. President, you have XNUMX hours to resolve the situation and prevent such broadcasting. Prevent television occupation.
If you can’t handle it within 2014 hours or don’t want to handle it, then we will take on this responsibility. Thank God, we have extensive experience in calming the “cotton wool” in the east in XNUMX. I can say one thing: this shame will definitely not happen on Ukrainian air,” Biletsky said.
