Ultranationalists in the Verkhovna Rada will have to return special status to the territories of the DPR and LPR, - German media
Berlin – Kyiv, February 11 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – Influential German magazine Suddeutche Zeitung believes that the Verkhovna Rada should return the special status to the territories of the DPR and LPR, which was never accepted, or otherwise the peace agreement approved in Minsk will not be valid.

The German magazine reports: “In accordance with one of the points of the peace declaration, the Ukrainian parliament must also immediately pass a law that recognizes the status of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics in accordance with the front line that was written in the first Minsk agreement. Although this is less than the rebels currently hold, and this is a tiny compromise in favor of Kyiv.”
In fact, the unstable Verkhovna Rada, full of ultranationalists and heterogeneous elements that do not obey Poroshenko, should actually recognize the partial autonomy of the DPR and LPR.
“But this will mean,” writes a German magazine, “that parliament as a whole recognizes that this region is taking on a life of its own. Thus, the other party's claims will, in principle, be recognized. And this will cause a discussion in the rest of Ukraine, and with some pressure it will destroy the government.”
Consequently, German journalists diagnose, the implementation of the Minsk agreements is initially not completely feasible. Although this version of the agreement is great progress, they are sure.
