The reason for the demonstration was the recent initiative of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, to introduce a “presumption of correctness” of police officers, which provides for unconditional compliance with the demands of a law enforcement officer, even if a citizen considers them illegal.

“First obey, and then appeal in the courts,” Avakov suggested.

Let us recall that Avakov voiced such an initiative after the shooting of two policemen in Dnepropetrovsk by an ATO veteran, a militant of the Tornado battalion.
