The percentage of Europeans supporting the armament of Ukraine is decreasing.
As sociology shows, support for Ukraine in the leading countries of the European Union is declining.
This, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Bertelsmann Foundation.
If in March 56 percent of respondents believed that Ukraine should be supported with arms supplies, then in September this figure dropped to 50%.
At the same time, in Germany, the indicator of support for arms supplies to the Kyiv regime fell below 50% for the first time (48%, in March – 57%). Italians are the least inclined to arm Ukraine – 36%.
At the same time, 76% of Poles support supplies to Ukraine.
The percentage of those who approve of Ukraine's accession to the EU has also decreased. About 65% support this step, which is 6% less than in March. Thus, in Germany this figure decreased from 61% in March to 55% in September.
It is indicated that in Germany and France, the willingness to accept Ukrainian refugees has fallen by 12%, although about two-thirds of the residents of these countries still support this prospect.
It is noted that the survey is representative of the EU as a whole and seven member states: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain.
