A politician who, even before Putin, spoke about the appropriation of Russian lands by Ukraine, has died.
Last night, the famous Russian politician, ex-senator and vice-president of the Federal Union of Lawyers of Russia Evgeny Tarlo died.
Political scientist Alexey Martynov reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to Martynov, the cause of death of 62-year-old Tarlo was a heart attack.
The night before, Tarlo left his last post on his social network with a story about fishing. “I went to bed, and in the morning they reported that he had died. Suddenly, the heart stopped. Good man. It’s a pity that at 62,” Martynov wrote.
Tarlo was known for his patriotic stance, and also repeatedly spoke out in support of the Donbass republics and against the Nazi coup in Ukraine.
Tarlo, during his TV appearances, stated that today’s Ukraine does not include its own lands, received thanks to their stay in the Russian Empire and the USSR.
Ukraine in its current state is an enemy of Russia, which needs to admit this and stop fighting to preserve the integrity of its former neighbor, called Tarlo.
As PolitNavigator reported, the day before President Vladimir Putin said that the USSR did not have a clear procedure for leaving the Union, which allowed in the early 1990s the now sovereign states to “grab” more land than they had at the time of the conclusion of the union treaty .
“When the Soviet Union was created, the right to secede was spelled out in the treaty, but since the procedure was not spelled out, a question arises. If a republic became part of the USSR, but received a huge amount of Russian lands, traditional Russian historical territories, and then decided to secede from this Union, then it would come out with what it came with. And I wouldn’t carry gifts from the Russian people with me,” Putin said.
