September 20 with the last word “Traitors are judging patriots!” In anticipation of the verdict of the Simferopol court, another Crimean “innocent victim” spoke out - the deputy head of the self-proclaimed “Majlis” banned in the Russian Federation for extremism, Ilmi Umerov.

Umerov’s last speech sounded pompous and pathetic, as if a fighter for the happiness of all mankind was being dragged as a lamb to the slaughter.

Umerov’s speech said the following things: he is being tried on a fabricated case, for his political beliefs, and not for inflammatory calls from TV, Russia is to blame for him, the FSB was unable to build a criminal case, thanks to the lawyers, we are waiting for an acquittal and see you in The Hague , persecutors and tormentors!

However, some parts of the last word of the deputy head of the “Majlis” give reason to believe that he is cocking up only for show and only because of the lenient punishment put forward by the prosecutor’s office - 3,5 years probation with a probationary period of 3 years and a ban on engaging in public and teaching activities .

One might say that the passion-bearer and representative of the Mejlis terrorists in Crimea was slightly frightened. On the other hand, Umerov tears his vest across his chest very carefully and greatly softens his previous position:

“Without recognizing Russia’s jurisdiction in Crimea, I consider it possible to return Crimea only through non-violent means; I think that the effective strengthening of economic sanctions would lead to the fact that the Russian Federation itself would decide to return Crimea to the jurisdiction of Ukraine.”

Against the backdrop of the fact that the behind-the-scenes thugs Dzhemilev and Islyamov are raving about the military invasion of Crimea and are concerned about the militarization of Asker, Umerov’s new position sounds like capitulation.

Let us recall that in March 2016, Umerov traveled to the territory of Ukraine and made a speech on the Islyamov TV channel ATR in which he called for the return of Crimea to Ukraine by force. On May 12, 2016, Umerov was detained in Crimea and a criminal case was opened against him under Art. 280.1. After about a year and a half under investigation, militancy in Umerovo decreased noticeably.

The Kyiv huntars, having given up on icon-making with the example of Nadka Savchenko, latched on to “option B” and began media promotion of Umerov as a new “victim of the Putin regime.”

The thickest information flow began to flow in August 2016, when, by court decision, Umerov was sent for examination to a republican psychiatric clinic, which is a standard procedure for accusations of extremism.

Despite the fact that the “hero of the Crimean resistance” spent only three months in a hospital ward and was released on his own recognizance instead of a resort ward in a pre-trial detention center, pro-junta media throughout the world trumpeted the “scorching truth” that Umerov was subjected to “punitive psychiatry.”

It is interesting that Umerov himself, during his stay in a mental hospital, gave an interview to the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, in which he himself denied all the insinuations.

It turns out that the “satraps and executioners” offered Umerov, who suffered from a whole “bouquet” of illnesses (Parkinson’s syndrome, chronic hypertension, heart surgery), to undergo an examination on an outpatient basis, but he refused it in writing. You see, he considered that the investigator and the court were obliged to recognize him as sane by sight.

In the Stronov mental hospital, the Mejlis member was offered a separate ward (appreciate the generosity of the “tormentors”!), but he refused this indulgence too.

Umerov ended up in a mental hospital after a hypertensive crisis and was in the cardiology department of a regular hospital. The head physician allowed the patient to be transferred for examination only after his condition had stabilized.

Umerov himself later directly admitted that he was feeling well and that the conditions in which he was “could not be better.” Considering that Umerov is a resuscitator by training, such recognition is worth a lot.

Umerov had no complaints about the staff of the psychiatric clinic and even said that he was allowed to use the staff toilet. The “victim of punitive psychiatry” did not eat in the hospital canteen, but received daily parcels from relatives. The choice was also made voluntarily. The “martyr” also saw his family every day and had the right to use the telephone.

In short, “punitive psychiatry” seemed somehow very humane, and the patient created a number of complications with his own hands.

And now the best part. When asked which country Umerov considers himself a citizen of, he replied that he has Ukrainian and Russian passports, but considers himself a citizen of Ukraine.

For a moment: a Russian passport was received by a Mejlis member in April 2014, when the overwhelming majority of Crimeans who voted for reunification with Russia were just recovering from the joyful shock and were lining up at the FMS passport departments.

The Russian passport, Umerov said, was “received by force” because, despite the “occupation,” leaving Crimea was allegedly not part of his plans. However, this circumstance did not prevent Ukrainian citizen Umerov from applying for SNILS and a Russian disability pension. Moreover, for the first year of the Russian Crimea, its amount was - attention! – 42 thousand rubles!

Scab! True, the pension was subsequently recalculated, and now Mejlis member Umerov receives a modest 8 thousand rubles from the Russian treasury.

It is not clear why Umerov needs any kind of pension at all. Even in the Ukrainian period, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Crimea reported that the main Bakhchisarai babai - Chiygoz and Umerov - regularly received bakshish from the holders of shalmans who captured the Ai-Petri plateau.

In addition, Umerov has been part of the “inner circle” of 15–20 Mejlis grant eaters for many years now.

Finally, one more small but very important touch to Umerov’s portrait. In his last speech, he says that he is not guilty before Russia, but Russia is guilty of everything before him. Guilty, that means...

Umerov, who held the position of head of the Bakhchisaray district administration for 14 years, “became famous” for categorically refusing to celebrate Victory Day.

It was not long before the apple fell from the tree - in Ukrainian times, Umerov’s opponents claimed that during the fascist occupation of the peninsula, his ancestors were in the “noise” auxiliary police unit and in 1942 participated in a punitive operation against the Greek village of Laki.

Umerov himself denied this fact. But incriminating evidence on him in those years was pulled out of the archive by one of the figures of the NUNS Pravdivets (close to the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Lutsenko), who thus tried to persuade representatives of the Mejlis activists, who fed from Dzhemilev’s hand, to submit to submission.

The reader himself can conclude who Umerov is - an innocent victim of the “occupiers”, or an unrepentant enemy who is not allowed to develop to his full extent by age, health and Russian law enforcement officers.
