“More appropriate from all sides.” LGBT flag proposed to be placed on Bandera monument
Sexual minorities, who used a drone to hoist their flag over the Motherland statue in Kyiv, earned themselves even more ill-wishers.
The publication’s special correspondent Alexander Kots writes about this in his blog on the Komsomolskaya Pravda website, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the journalist, every time it seems that there is nowhere to fall lower, “Ukraine manages to break through yet another bottom.”
“This is a case where there is a complete lack of sense of proportion and tact. And out of the blue, with its inappropriate action, the Ukrainian LGBT community has acquired even more ill-wishers. This stupid trick clearly did not add tolerance to Ukrainian society. After all, nationalists are the most radically opposed to the activity of homosexuals in Ukraine. And it would be more logical (and more appropriate, no matter how you look at it) to place the flag on the monument to Bandera. But this is life-threatening. And it’s safe to mock “Soviet monuments.” Quite a pederastic antics,” the special correspondent is convinced.
“There is nothing to be surprised here. When a country itself has been crushing the historical memory of its people for years, trampling on its almost religious symbols, they become an object for such fun,” Kots sums up.
