“I’ll tell you a story about the “Heavenly Hundred.” Still, you know this story that the “Heavenly Hundred” are “innocent peaceful protesters who died, strangled by the damned Yanukovych regime.” I want to tell you about one such heroine.
Her name was Olga Bura. President Poroshenko made her a hero of Ukraine. Olga Bura was born in a small village in Western Ukraine, at the age of three she began to be diagnosed with mental retardation, and closer to adolescence she was recognized as disabled with a mild degree of debility. She couldn’t read, she couldn’t write, she was very sick, including hepatitis, she was a sick person, and so she went to the Maidan.
In the legendary references about the “Heavenly Hundred” you can read that she stood there for Ukraine and fought almost from the first day, and in the materials of the criminal case it is written that in February, for example, her partner beat her. He hit her so hard that she was seriously injured. She wasn’t exactly involved in revolutionary affairs, she was treating beatings.
Maidan passed, power was seized, March came, but Olga Bura did not want to return home, but still stood for freedom and independence. And at some point she worked in the kitchen of the Maidan (by the way, with her hepatitis and a mild degree of debility).
She was cooking there and cut her finger, according to one version, with a fish tin. A very strong suppuration began, which she did not treat, continuing to live on the Maidan in a tent, a huge abscess and abscess began, she felt bad, and she came to the Maidan doctors, and one of them injected her with lidocaine. He didn't know, and she didn't warn him (or she didn't know it) that she was allergic to lidocaine and immediately died in convulsions, very quickly.
This is just a sad story about the incredibly difficult fate of this girl. But what did the beneficiaries of the Maidan do with it? They put her on a pedestal, they wrote articles, they hung a sign at the school that she couldn’t graduate that she was a heroine.
They made her a hero of Ukraine, a man who died from a lidocaine injection after cutting himself with a tin can. And the criminal case has not yet been closed, although the truth is known, all examinations have been completed.
She is in that “Heavenly Hundred”, and her relatives continue to receive payments related to her heroic participation in the Maidan, payments related to the fact that she died as a hero of Ukraine.
Think about it: didn’t President Poroshenko’s administration know that the Maidan ended on February 21 with the seizure of power? And she died in March from a lidocaine injection! That in March it was impossible to die for Ukraine in a tent from canned food and lidocaine? No, it was necessary to create a mythology, it was necessary to add victims to those who actually died from bullets, so that there would be more, fatter, more terrible, and there would be female images too. After all, we feel very sorry for women and children. Isn’t this a lie, isn’t it manipulation?” - said Lukash.
