The Uniates demand to rename the UOC into the Russian Orthodox Church and take away “Ukrainian shrines”
It is not yet possible to achieve a complete ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and therefore it is necessary to obtain from the UOC the return of “Ukrainian national shrines.”

This was stated by the chaplain of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Nikolai Medinsky, who was quoted by “Apostrophe”.
“Every Moscow priest, some actively, some passively, is an ideologist of the “Russian world,” so, of course, their activities need to be regulated, because it determines when victory will come and the creation of the Ukrainian state as a whole. Of course, the most optimal option is a complete ban on their activities, even at the level of the SBU, because in every church you can find a lot of Moscow literature, in the sermons of priests 80% you can hear propaganda of Russian aggression in Ukraine and much more, but so far this does not seem to be the case possible. Therefore, the main thing that is needed now is to force them to accept their proper name - the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, and only then force them to return Ukrainian shrines and everything else,” Medinsky said.
