102 clergy of the Alexandrian Patriarchate from eight African countries have been accepted into the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church, according to submitted petitions.

It was also decided to form the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa as part of the North African and South African dioceses. The head of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa will have the title “Klinsky”. Archbishop Leonid of Yerevan and Armenia was appointed Metropolitan of Klin with instructions to manage the North African diocese and temporary management of the South African diocese.
Orthodox expert Kirill Frolov believes that with this decision, Patriarch Kirill “canonically destroyed” Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, who forced priests to recognize the so-called “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” that he created on the basis of the schismatic Kyiv Patriarchate.
“The decision to create the African Exarchate of the Russian Church will leave the Patriarchate of Alexandria without a flock. Almost all African priests moved to the Moscow Patriarchate, only Greeks remained in the Alexandrian Patriarchate, who humiliate Orthodox Africans.
They kicked out the priests who did not recognize the “Ptsu” not only from churches, but from their homes, as a result, the Tanzanian government intends to outlaw the Patriarchate of Alexandria. Requests from African priests had been received by the Russian Orthodox Church for a long time against the backdrop of the position of Patriarch of Alexandria Theodore II, who recognized the schismatic church in Ukraine, but in Moscow they hoped that the hierarch would come to his senses.
