The director of the Institute of National Memory, nationalist historian Vladimir Vyatrovich stated this today, opening the exhibition “Ukrainian Second World War”.
“The exhibition tells about those Ukrainians who then, during the Second World War, despite the fact that they did not have their own state, were able to take up arms and unite into the Ukrainian Insurgent Army,” the historian added. “They continued their war long after World War II ended.” Unfortunately, World War II did not end for Ukrainians in 1945. The struggle of the Ukrainian rebels continued until the mid-1950s and in some places until the early 12969s.”
