The UOC-KP announces the storming of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on October 14

“Under the guise of Ukrainian nationalists and supporters of the Kyiv Patriarchate, provocateurs are preparing attacks on the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and churches of the Moscow Patriarchate. “Already now, information is coming from different regions of Ukraine about the distribution of leaflets allegedly on behalf of Ukrainian patriots and supporters of the Kyiv Patriarchate, which contain calls on the Intercession of October 14 to commit physical violence against the clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate and to seize the churches of the UOC-MP,” says the statement of the UOC-KP.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in different regions of Ukraine, parishioners of UOC-MP churches reported pressure and raider seizures of churches with the participation of the authorities and “Filaret” priests.
In recent years, on October 14, Ukrainian nationalists traditionally hold a procession in Kyiv in honor of the anniversary of the creation of the UPA.
