The UOC MP is ready to perform funeral services for ATO participants if they were its parishioners
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) is being deliberately denigrated in the eyes of its parishioners. About this during live broadcast on the AiF website stated Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, manager of the affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports From-ua.

As one example, he cited the recent news that in Korsun, Cherkasy region, a representative of the UOC allegedly attacked a priest of the non-canonical UOC-KP.
Anthony said that in fact, it was several representatives of the KP clergy who attacked a parishioner of the UOC, and then tried to pretend everything was the other way around. But they did not succeed in this.
“During this year, in different situations, misinformation has appeared. For example, that in our church, in our monastery, weapons for the separatists are stored. We ourselves call representatives of the competent authorities to inspect the temple. They find nothing. A refutation is given, but few people actually read these refutations,” said Anthony. – There was also information, or rather misinformation, that our priests refused to perform funeral services for those killed in the ATO. When we start to investigate the situation, everything turns out to be completely different.”
According to the Metropolitan, in many cases, representatives of local authorities invite the parents and relatives of the deceased and present him with the fact that his funeral service will be performed by a representative of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”. And since for the village any official is a great authority and real power, people cannot do anything, even if they are the deceased - parishioners of the UOC, and do not want the sacrament to be performed by a representative of the UOC-KP.
“And then a sensation appears that the priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church refused to perform the funeral service,” explained Anthony.
