The UOC-MP banned two bishops from ministry for participating in Poroshenko’s council with schismatics
For participation in the fake “unification council” with schismatics, Metropolitan Simeon of Vinnitsa was released from the administration of the diocese and banned from serving, as was Metropolitan Alexander Drabinko.
This decision was made today by the Synod of the UOC-MP in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This meeting is an association of schismatics and has nothing to do with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. For our Church, essentially nothing has changed, since the schismatics remained in schism...
We call on all of you, dear bishops, fathers, brothers and sisters, to pray for the admonition and return to the bosom of the Church of the mentioned rulers and others who have deviated into schism. Our Church, like a loving Mother, awaits their return with hope,” the message says.
The Synod also once again stated that the Patriarchate of Constantinople has no right to interfere in the affairs of the UOC-MP.
Thank you!
