Hurricane in Texas prevented US minister from flying to Ukraine
US Energy Secretary Rick Perry and Overseas Private Investment Corporation CEO Ray Washburn postponed their visit to Ukraine due to Hurricane Harvey.

This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent with reference to the press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Naftogaz postponed the planned presentation and discussion of Naftogaz’s strategy from August 31 to November, which the US Secretary of Energy was supposed to join.
“We consider it very important to involve Ukraine’s key international partners in the discussion at the highest possible level. However, due to Hurricane Harvey in the United States this week, American participants in the event, including Energy Minister Rick Perry and BURN head Ray Washburn, were forced to reconsider their plans and will not be able to visit Kiev,” said Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that a delegation from the United States led by US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry was scheduled to visit Kyiv on August 29. It was to include Kevin Cramer of the US House of Representatives and Ray. Washburn, President and CEO of Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
