“Ural in Crimea”: A unique festival opens in Sevastopol
From March 9 to 12, a literary and theater festival will be held in Crimea: a spring weekend with the cult “thick” magazine “Ural”. Visitors to the festival, admission to which will be free, will be able to communicate with the editors of one of the most famous literary magazines in Russia, Crimean and Sevastopol writers, and will also see a performance.

The event starts on March 9 at 17.00 in library No. 21 in Balaklava, where a creative meeting will be held with the editors of the Ural magazine, on March 10 in the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after. A.V., Lunacharsky at 11.00 will begin a drama marathon of plays published in different years in the magazine “Ural”, on March 11 at 12.00 in the Central Library named after. L.N. Tolstoy, there will be a round table discussion of Ural and Sevastopol writers on the topic “Ural and Crimea in the works of Russian writers”, and at 19.00 there will be a premiere of the play based on the play “Terrible Soup” by the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Ural” Oleg Bogaev.
“This is the first festival of this kind in Sevastopol, organized by a “thick” literary magazine of Russia, combining both literary and theatrical components. A unique opportunity to communicate with famous writers, as well as to establish communication between creative people of Sevastopol, Crimea and the Urals,” note the organizers.
The literary, artistic and journalistic magazine “Ural” has been published since January 1958 and celebrated its 60th anniversary this year.
