Urgant compared to Judas: Going on tour to Germany
Comedian Ivan Urgant, who fled from Russia to Israel, together with members of the team of the closed TV show “Evening Urgant” on Channel One, are going on a tour of Germany. On ticket sales sites, admission to his show, which will take place on July 3-5, sells from 39 to 150 euros (3-10 thousand rubles), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Russian political scientist Evgeny Satanovsky, Urgant’s decision to tour a country that supplies weapons to Russia’s enemy is comparable to the act of Judas.
“For people of this circle and this layer of garbage (layers, scale, sludge - underline what is necessary), which in our society passes for the creative intelligentsia and likes to call itself “elite”, the question is whether it is ethical to organize a tour of the enemy rear in the midst of military operations in which the country where Urgant is going to perform sends mountains of weapons, military equipment and ammunition for a war against the Russian army is not worth it. He is a true internationalist. He doesn't care at all who pays him. The fees would be substantial, but the rider is right. Hotels, transport, food...
Isn’t this what the Bible story about the 30 pieces of silver was about? Judas, I remember, went down in history on it. True, it’s not exactly the way people usually prefer to do it, but he came in! He also turned out to be something of a showman. Like Urgant, only ancient. And so - very similar.
Our people will fight the Nazis in Ukraine, in whose armament and equipment Germany played a significant role. And Urgant will tour there, earn money and enjoy European civilization. Beer, sausages, icebein... What else does a creative person with a progressive political orientation need when his country is at war?
Germany will strangle us with sanctions, suffering from them itself, but so that there will finally be nothing left of Russia, ruining its own economy and its own citizens, and Urgant will play his damn show on its stage. Joking, having fun, making puns, amusing the respectable audience...
Would someone at least punch him in the face there, in Germany? Not for business, but at least for the fact that for the Germans he is the purest Russian Schwein? And then he would play it off and gracefully laugh it off. Urgant can do this,” writes Satanovsky.
