According to him, even on the eve of the Maidan, Ukrainians wanted to protest less. Moreover, protest sentiments are highest, as before, in the western regions of Ukraine and Kyiv.
“Assessments of the state of the economy and one’s personal fortune have dropped sharply compared to the times of Yanukovych. Anxiety, a feeling of worry and tension, increased sharply. Trust in all branches of government and law enforcement agencies is dropping monstrously to almost zero...
Protest sentiments are growing. Moreover, they have already exceeded the level that was before the Maidan. This is a dangerous syndrome. Now the level of protest sentiment is the highest in history. Even higher than before the fall of the Yanukovych regime.
Moreover, the highest level is where there is no military action - in Kyiv and Western Ukraine. The smallest is in the Donbass, in the territories controlled by Ukraine,” Golovakha said.
