Poroshenko's controversial bodyguard resigns
Poroshenko’s odious security guard, head of the State Security Service of Ukraine Valery Geletey, wrote a resignation letter, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He reported this on his Facebook page and published a photo of the report.
“For myself, I decided that I would write a letter of resignation after the inauguration, since leaving my unit on the eve of this important event would be irresponsible,” Geletey wrote.
He wished his successor “strength, wisdom and strength in honorable service for the good of our Motherland.”
“Coming from the post of head of the State Security Administration of Ukraine, I will continue my dedicated service to the State, the People, the Law,” Geletey noted.
Valery Geletey and his subordinates were involved in scandals related to the organization of Petro Poroshenko’s election tour, when disguised security officers attacked voters disloyal to Poroshenko, beat them and took away photos and video cameras.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky dismissed Viktor Muzhenko from the post of Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak submitted an application to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky about his resignation.
