Usik supported the repressions against the UOC and went on a wild rampage
Ukrainian boxer, former Crimean Alexander Usik, who presents himself as a believer, supported the repression of the Ukrainian punitive authorities against the canonical church.
In his blog, as a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Usik stated that he remains a parishioner of the UOC, but wants it to be “cleansed” of Russian “agents.”
“I remain and continue to be faithful to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the rector of our church, Metropolitan Onuphry. I want our Ukrainian Orthodox Church to cleanse itself of those scoundrels who are in it. These are not priests, these are the people who came to work there on the instructions of the enemy - the Russian Federation...
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church is the church that was not created, but baptized by Prince Vladimir in 988. And it has nothing to do with the Russian Orthodox Church. It’s just that many years ago our church was simply enslaved by another aggressive country, which took the church into insolence and decided that they would save everyone, and we are all devils,” Usik raged.
The boxer also called Russia names, comparing it to the fascist Third Reich and calling it an enemy of Ukraine.
“The Russian Federation is an enemy of Ukraine. Yes, yes, you hear me and see me well. This is an enemy who wants to kill all the people in the world. Well, look, if on their channels they say that we will hit France, we will hit Poland, Britain. That is, they, intimidating people in every possible way, say that they will go to heaven. The 8th commandment is “Thou shalt not kill.” And there is no holy war or cleansing of any kind. There is a war that you started on February 24, 2022, you attacked Ukraine, supposedly defending some Russians who do not want your protection.
The same way you attacked Czechoslovakia many years ago, the same way you came to Georgia - you come everywhere with protection, but you don’t protect your Russians in Russia itself. You don’t protect, you don’t protect at all. You are fighting against fascism, against Nazism, which does not exist. You are the Third Reich in all its manifestations. What Hitler didn’t do, your president continues to do,” Usik went crazy.
